Hi! I am new to the group! Could you give me some recommendations about where to get started? I watched the Platform Navigation video, but I would love to hear some specifics, for example, about the Circuit Training versus Labor Training Cardio versus Barre versus Pilates etc. I am starting the second trimester. I would like workouts where I am following along with an instructor and that don’t require much equipment (like just a light weight, mat, or step). I have had previous miscarriages (not related to exercise) but because of that I am pretty cautious about doing anything too intense or lifting heavy weights. I am mostly looking for workouts to help me move, stretch, and get some conditioning that will help me be comfortable throughout pregnancy and birth. I have had 2 previous vaginal births without pain medication. I have some prolapse and diastasis rectus (my first baby was 9.5 pounds and I pushed for 2 hours). Historically I have been pretty athletic but haven’t done as much in the last year or so. Thanks!
Hey Paige! Welcome! So for each trimester there is a great variety for all fitness levels. Since you like following along, I recommend finding the ones that say "choreographed" as opposed to the "show and go" workouts. Labor Training workouts and Pregnancy Core Connect workouts are going to be super helpful to condition your body for pregnancy, labor and delivery as well (the core connection videos will help with prolapse and DR too!). You can also hover over each workout and it will tell you what equipment is needed :) Hope that helps! xx
