Hi! I am new to the app and so far am LOVING it. I am really into ACOG guidelines and love that you put these evidence based principles into your work. This is the only platform I have seen do this and I cannot tell you how grateful I am.
With that said, I was scouring the recommendations "Physical Activity and Exercise During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period" (April 2020) and I see that in table 3 they note that a recommended approach includes not exceeding 60-80% of max HR for your age in addition to the “talk test” ie "as long as a woman can carry on a conversation while exercising, she likely is not overexerting herself". I can tell you that during some of the circuit workouts my HR does go above 80% of my max (which is about 150 for my age), and I also would have a difficult time talking at times. Just wondering your thoughts. Maybe I am overdoing it. Or maybe I am overthinking it.
